Lash Hygiene

Do we need to use a professional cleanser for lashes?

Yes, we do! We all need to look after our lashes and clean them as often as we would wash our face. Our body needs water, our skin needs moisture, so why not  wash your lashes as well?

My personal preference is an  ????????????? wash with ??? ???? ?. Smells fab, cleans great ?.
It is  not just suitable for eyelash extensions, cleaning with it before applying extensions helps retention, it helps against ???????????, is safe for contact lens wearers and it is also an effective makeup remover. What more do you need from a cleanser!

Blepharitis – is a common eye condition characterised by inflammation of the eyelid, resulting in inflamed, irritated, itchy, and reddened eyelids and is not entirely uncommon amongst the eyelash extensions wearers. It can be caused by the oil glands at the base of the eyelashes becoming clogged, a bacterial infection, allergies, or other conditions which could develop as a result of insufficient eyelid and eyelash cleaning.

THREE FACTS ON BLEPHARITIS

1. 30% -50% of children and adults suffer this condition

2. Trials have shown a 42% prevalence of the Demodex mite in patients with chronic anterior blepharitis

3. Tea tree oil has not only anti-Demodex properties, but also broader, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties that may enhance its therapeutic potential

What we love about the product that we recommend.

  • Eyelid Cleanser Foam contains Tea tree to clean and sanitize the eyelids and eyelashes.
  • Great for pre and post eyelash extensions / eyebrow extensions.
  • Removes all traces of eye make-up including: long wearing and waterproof formulas.
  • Will not break down adhesives used in eyelash or brow extensions.
  • Ideal for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers, leaving skin feeling cool and relieved without any oily residue.
  • Removes all make-up, even waterproof make-up.
  • Always rinse after use for clean, fresh and healthy eyelashes. Saline water is what we suggest for rinsing client’s lashes prior application.

For lash extensions cleaning  it’s best to use it with a soft cleaning brush but if your client doesn’t have one explain how they can gently wash lashes without it. Watch the video and share it with your clients so they know how to wash they lashes daily.

Best applied with Eyelash Cleaning Brush
