CATEGORIES

You will then be sent entry confirmation within 72 hours. Should you not receive the confirmation of the entry within that time please contact the organisers asap by emailing [email protected]  as it means your registration has not been processed.

PHOTOS CRITERIA

General Requirements for All Categories

Up to 4 photographs per entry will be accepted.  Only high-resolution HD (High Definition) photographs will be accepted (2000px*2000px min). If you set your phone camera on HD this will be high enough quality. Images must be clear and unedited (no retouching of eyelashes). No retouching, watermarks, logos or personal details are allowed in order to keep the judging process fair an unbiased. Images with excessive filtering or similar altering will be disqualified.

At least one of the photos must show both of the model’s eyes.

Fantasy Category 

You are welcome to use any additional decoration on lashes, make up, hair style, extensions on bottom lashes as well as costume, head piece and etc. You can use coloured lashes in this category. Pictures can be slightly retouched (skin, costume BUT NOT LASHES).

We advise to finish work on your own considering the current circumstances. We highly recommend not to travel and not to invite anyone to your house to finish general look as usually happens within this category when MUA and photo assistants are involved. Please stay home.

Lash Lift Category

One of the pictures should be before and after and follow the rest of the rules.

Submitting Photos of Your Finished Work

You are welcome to use your own existing pictures of work on male model, even if they have been entered in competitions as long as you didn’t take 1st, 2^nd or 3rd place with them.

Models and competitors should be at least 16 years old.

Photos must be only submitted via email [email protected] and not through our social media.

Enter your name and category in the subject of the email with the photographs, and add sizes (length, thickness, curls for eyelash extensions and size of rods if you are in the lash lift category) you applied on your model in the body of the email

Please use the same name for donation, when placing your free order on the website to confirm chosen category and when submitting photos of your work.

Feel free to ENTER and DONATE now but send your pictures when you are ready (before 24th May 2020) as all donations are available for the charity straight away.

JUDGING CRITERIA

A maximum of 10 points is available for each scoring criterion.

Classics, Volume, Pre-mades categories

1. Overall look (Judges will pay attention to general look, lashes on both eyes should look equal)
2. Style/Effect (Lashes should complement model’s eyes and face features)
3. Clean work (Lashes should be washed prior to extensions being applied, skin around and lashes should look clean, no excess glue should appear on lashes)
4. Stickies (No stuck together lashes)
5. Coverage (Competitors should aim for 100% coverage, points will be taken away if natural lashes without extensions are seen)
6. Distance (equal distance through the whole lash line (recommended distance classic 0.5mm, volume 0.3-0.5mm)
7. Direction (Lashes should not cross, they should follow correct direction and look equally on both eyes and placed correctly at the bases of natural lashes)
8. Length (Extensions’ length should be suitable for your model’s natural lashes)
9. Thickness/ Weight (Lash extensions thickness/ volume of lashes in a fan should be suitable for model’s natural lashes). For Classics, thickness of 0.07-0.15mm can be used, for Volume – 0.03-0.07mm
10. Inner/outer corners (All natural lashes should have extensions on, using shorter lengths appropriate for the model’s own lashes)

Volume only category 

All of the above plus

Perfection of a fan (Fans should have a uniform look, be evenly spaced, lashes fanned in the correct way with even distance between each extension of the fan)

NB – No use of pre-made fans lashes is allowed

Fantasy category 

Overall look (The overall impression of the whole creation; eyelash extension, makeup, costume, hair, decorations).

Creativity (Use of props and accessories to enhance the look)

Theme (How well you have kept to the theme).

Lash design (The design of the extension in relation to eye shape and the overall impression).

Lash decorations (Use of lash decorations to enhance the look).

Styling of right and left eye (Styling of the right and left eye in relation to the overall look)

Lower lashes (Decoration of the lower lashes with extensions and decorations)

Use of colours (Selecting the colour scheme on the eyelash extension)

Make up, body paint and decorations (Quality and creativity of make-up, body painting and body decoration. All should complement the Theme)

Styling of hair (Styling of the hair/wig).

Clean work (Clean and tidy work, no markings, glue or lashes on the face)

Lash Lift Category Criteria

• Visible difference before and after 
• Overall look (Each lash should look straight and be separated. Lashes shouldn’t be clumped or stuck together, no eye redness)
• Smoothness of the curl (smooth bend without creases and deformation along the entire length of natural eyelashes)
• Direction (All lashes should be curled straight, lashes must not criss-cross. Lashes can look straight (upwards) or sideways (towards temples) depending on eye shape.
• Inner/outer corners (All lashes in the inner and outer corners the must be curled.
• Lifting (Lashes should be well lifted in the root zone. Lashes must not sag or be bending upwards too much)
• Clean work (There should be no tint on the skin or pieces of glue left on the Skin/eyelashes)
• Tinting (Lashes should be evenly tinted along the entire length including the roots and tips. Colour of tinting has to be intensive and suitable for the model’s lashes)
